Ich liebe mein Pelicase 1514. Es ist das perfekte Behältnis für meine Fotoausrüstung auf Reisen. Platz genug für zwei Bodys, bis zu 4 Objektive, und 2 Systemblitze, Kleinkram und Laptop. Darüber hinaus ist es "klein genug" um als Handgepack mit in die Flugzeugkabine zu dürfen.
Leider hat es eine einzige Schwäche. Die Rollen sind nur für perfekt glatten Boden geeignet und darüber hinaus sehr laut. Wer das Case mal über spanische, oder andere unebene, Bürgersteige gezogen hat weiß wovon ich rede!
Eine Lösung musste also her...Die ersten Lösungsansätze waren über 5kg schwer und somit nicht Flug-Reisegepäcktauglich. Also erfand ich die Charismatic Tires (die charismatischen Reifen) die nicht nur stabil sondern auch relativ leicht sind. Das Gewicht in der aktuellen Version beträgt nur rd. 1800 gramm.
Für mich hat diese Lösung einfach was charismatisches - deswegen Charismatic Tires.
Luftgefüllte Reifen, leicht demontierbar, so kann das Case innerhalb von ein paar Minuten in den Urzustand zurück versetzt werden und geht als Kabinengepack mit an Bord. (Ich gebe meine Ausrüstung einfach zu ungern in fremde Hände!)
Das Entfernen der Charismatic Tires passiert in der Schalterhalle (da ist der Boden eben). Die Einzelteile werden dann in den aufzugebenden Koffer gelegt. Bis zum Flieger rollt das Case dann auf den original Rollen.
Nun liebe ich mein Peli-Case noch mehr!!!
Dieses "add-on" für das Pelicase 1510/1514 kann erworben werden. Der Preis für die Charismatic Tires beginnt je nach Ausführung bei 79,00 Euro incl. Mwst. zuzüglich Versand. I love my Pelican Case!
It protects my whole photo equipment while I travelling. Inside there's enough space to carry two camerabodys, up to four lenses, two flash systems, small tools and even my laptop. Its total external dimensions fall within the "maximum authorised cabin luggage" measurements.
If there could be any improvements at all then.... The tyres! Have you ever walked along a spanish pavement or somewhere else where its rough and uneven then you know what I am talking about.
I became quite concerned about the welfare of my equipment and came up with a solution by creating the "Charismatic Tires", a strong but lightwight "Air Tire"-solution. Before check-in simply remove the "Charismatic Tires" axle and stand leaving the 1510/1514 as normal cabin luggage and allowing you to put the mobility componants in your hold luggage
Did I said, I love my Pelican Case - now a lot more than before.
You can also use the Charismatic Tires. Charismatic Tires include the "Tire-unit" and the "stand-unit". The stand unit not only allows you to adopt the vertical position when stopping but with a single action the horizontal position allowing you to access the pelicancase without it making direct contact with any dirty, wet or damaging surfaces
